GRANULATED DETERGENT COMPOSITION

A granulated detergent composition which comprises a surfactant, a water-insoluble inorganic material and a water-soluble salt, and has a bulk density of 500 g/L or more, a variance of falling speed for a powdery material (V) of 1.0 or less, a penetration pressure (P) of 80 gf/cm or less, a DELTA falling ratio (D) of 14 % or less, and the K value represented by the formula: K = P x exp(0.135 x D) of 30 to 230, wherein P and D represent a penetration pressure (gf/cm) and a DELTA falling ratio (%), respectively; and a method for producing the composition. The granulated detergent composition is excellent in easiness in measuring it by a spoon type tool and distributing it. The granulated detergent composition provides a detergent composition which is easy to scoop when scooped with a spoon type measuring tool, is easy to measure, is markedly reduced in the amount of insoluble materials remaining around cloths after washing due to the easiness thereof in dispersing it in a washing machine, can provide an extremely good feeling in handling to a user thereof and exhibits a feeling of smoothness; and an article for cleaning comprising the detergent composition.
