The invention concerns a method for producing a magnetised coating capable o f exerting lasting magnetic forces, which consists in spreading on a support (11) conductive particles (13), oriented by a predetermined magnetisation along an electromagnetic excitation and embedded in a binder (12). The coati ng apparatus for implementing the inventive method, comprises means feeding (10 , 15) the support (11) on a conveyor belt (20), means applying a main binder (12) with pressing rollers (40) and with at least a nozzle (30), coupled wit h heating means, a reservoir (50) of particles (13) coupled with a sprinkler (51) for dispensing the load of particles, means for distributing the load o f particles into the main binder, electromagnetic means (60) for producing an anisotropic magnetic field magnetising the particles, a sprayer (80) for depositing a supplementary binder, drying means (100), demagnetising (110) a nd winding (120) means. The invention is applicable to supports in particular f or paper making, games, decoration or building.
