IMAGE DATA RECORDING METHOD AND OPTICAL DISK REPRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recording and reproducing an optical disk by which special reproduction such as high speed reproduction can easily be made and retrieval can be conducted at a high-speed for an optical disk recording compressed dynamic image. SOLUTION: A table for special reproduction is recorded and a sector address is added to each sector. Then this optical disk reproducing device references the special reproduction table to obtain a sector address of corresponding compression image data and retrieves the address on an optical disk and reproduces data. Thus, special reproduction such as high-speed reproduction, slow reproduction and reverse reproduction can easily conducted and retrieval is easily attained.
