<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep optimal contrast with the display color of the background and to surely recognize the position of a pointer by selecting a color farthest from the display color of the background concerning the display color of the pointer. SOLUTION: New display color data for each pixel of the pointer are generated while using a spectrum locus (xlock, ylock)k1,M of xy chromaticity diagram data 18 and the coordinates of achromatic points (white points). Namely, for example, a color corresponding to an intersection (x1-, y1-) of a straight line, which is extended while connecting a chromaticity coordinate (x1, y1) and an achromatic point (white point) coordinate (xachr, yachr), crossing a curved line (spectrum locus) is selected as the color of the pointer. Thus, the display color of the pointer can be changed in real time corresponding to a change in the display color of the background or periphery at the position of the pointer. As a result, the visibility of the pointer on a color display device can be improved.</p> |
