PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a normalization correlation function to detect corresponding points between a search picture and a search object picture with a low calculation cost. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a search means 11 which detects the correlation between plural pictures obtained by picking up the image of the same object and searches the correspondence relation between pictures on the basis of the correlation to detect plural corresponding point candidates consisting of pairs of coordinates indicating the corresponding positions of one picture and the other, and a selection means 12 which uses evaluation values based on the correlation for corresponding point candidates detected by the search means to select corresponding point candidates having evaluation values within a prescribed range out of plural corresponding point candidates.
