PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately detect an abnormality such as a blockade due to a clog, an air lock or the like when the abnormality is generated and to quickly take proper measures. SOLUTION: A parabolic reflector 4 which detects a change in a sound due to a change in the flow of a fluid is installed near the suction opening or the discharge opening of a pump. A frequency converter 8 which frequency-converts a detection sound signal by the parabolic reflector 4 is provided. A comparator 10 by which a converted frequency distribution is compared with a frequency distribution at a time when the flow of the fluid is normal is provided. An abnormality judgment circuit 12 which judges the operation of the pump to be abnormal when both frequency distributions have a difference at a set value or higher on the basis of the result of their comparison and which sounds a buzzer 6 is provided.
