PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a surface-protecting film good in initial adhesion to a material to be stuck, capable of being readily peeled when peeling off the film from the material to be stuck after pasting the film, and hardly causing dirt, remainder of the paste and a mark of sticking by laminating and integrating a specific adhesive layer on a substrate layer. SOLUTION: This surface-protecting film is obtained by laminating and integrating (A) a substrate layer comprising a thermoplastic polyolefin-based resin and (B) an adhesive layer, and the layer B comprises (i) 100 pts.wt. hydrogenation product of a styrene-diene-based copolymer and (ii) 0.05-2 pts.wt. epoxidized fatty acid ester having <=-10 deg.C freezing point. Preferably, a C-D-E type block copolymer comprising (C) a styrene polymer block, (D) a conjugate diene polymer block or a random copolymer block of the styrene and the conjugate diene, and (E) a tapered block having gradually increasing styrene content in the copolymer of the styrene and the conjugate diene, or the like, is used as the component (i).
