PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain excessive rush current, reduce current load of a switching element of an inverter circuit, and further reduce higher harmonic of an input current. SOLUTION: In this lighting device 1, a smoothing circuit 3 is constituted to include a first capacitor C2 connected in parallel with the output side of a rectifier 2 outputting a ripple voltage, an inductor L1, and a first switching element Tr1 which is connected in the forward direction with a smoothing capacitor C3 and the output of the rectifier 2, and is provided with a first series circuit 7 connected in parallel with the first capacitor C2. An inverter circuit 4 is connected with the smoothing circuit 3. |
