PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heating device constituted so that image quality is prevented from being lowered because of offset toner and slip caused between a film and a transfer material by providing it with a cleaning member abutting on the area of one part of the film and eliminating the dirt thereof. SOLUTION: A stay 6 is provided with a recessed part formed along the curvature of a cleaning roller 7 at the part F opposed to the roller 7. The roller 7 is pressured to the recessed part through a bearing 8 by a pressure spring 9 and made to abut on the fixing film 1. The off set toner is carried to the abutting part of the film 1 and the roller 7 by the rotation of the film 1 transferred to the roller 7 there and recovered. Since the roller 7 can be brought into contact with the film 1 not linearly but in plane, a cleaning effect is enhanced. That means, the fault of a fixing device caused by the temperature rise at an end part is prevented from occurring by making the roller 7 abut on the film 1.
