PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an optical information recording medium with high productivity by shortening drying time after coating in a step for forming a dye recording layer by coating so that the dye recording layer can be efficiently formed. SOLUTION: When the optical information recording medium is produced through a step for forming a dye recording layer capable of recording information by irradiation with laser light by coating on a transparent discoid substrate, the dye recording layer is formed by dissolving a dye in a mixed solvent prepared by mixing a fluorinated alcohol and a fluorinated cyclic alkane or alkene in a volume ratio of 99:1 to 50:50, coating the top of the substrate with the resulting coating solution and carrying out drying. The fluorinated cyclic alkane is preferably 1,1,2,2,3,3,4-heptafluorocyclopentane. |
