PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece using a shading dial of aluminum dial and the like and capable of recognizing time even in the dark. SOLUTION: By combining a front frame 11 and a rear frame 12 to form a frame, a movement 24 is fixed on the back of the front frame 11, a shading dial 21 of aluminum dial is fixed on the front side of the front frame. A clock with illumination provided with a windscreen cover 11a formed with acrylic material and the like having light guiding capability in front of the shading dial 21 and a V groove 11b emitting the introduced light toward the dial 21 is provided on the windscreen cover 11a. In front of the windscreen cover 11a, as a light source 65 for illuminating the windscreen cover 11a is provided, the light from the light source 65 reaches the cover on the whole and the shading dial is illuminated.
