The hollow body part esp. vehicle door has an opening (20) with a seal to permit moisture to escape from the body but prevents its entry. The sealing element (4) is integrated in a component (120) fastened to the door (1). The component is e.g. a lining, ornamental batten, name plate, or light. It is esp. screwed, clamped, or glued to the vehicle body. The sealing element is similarly fastened to the component. It has a flap-like cover of elastic sealing material, fastened above the opening in the door and closing it completely.
