PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnostic method and device for a wheel speed input circuit sensor accurately diagnosing a failure for a case using comparators in the same package. SOLUTION: Whether a wheel is stopping or not is determined based on the cycle or a count value obtained by measuring the cycle of an output signal from a waveform shaping circuit 101 or counting the output signal in a prescribed period.
