The pipe conveyor has a conveyor band and a band carrier with a carrier wall (1) which has gaps through which the band passes. Rollers (9) mounted on arms (12) can be moved into contact with the band to form it into a pipe. The novel feature is that an inset (15) is mounted between the arm and the carrier wall.
