The table leg (3-8) has an articulated head (2) to fix underneath the table top and at the top of the leg is an upper end section (16, 17) which in at least two swivel positions is held by a spring (6) securely in the head so that the leg cannot swivel although it can be extended in part from the head against spring action. When partially extended the leg can swivel between the swivel positions. The articulation head has criss cross holes (9, 10) to hold the upper end section of the table leg.
