PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a three-dimensional model space with accuracy by using two-dimensional image data having an angle of view which is smaller than a normally required one like a high-resolution image obtained by means of a line scanner, etc., mounted on an artificial satellite. SOLUTION: Left and right two-dimensional image data are obtained by continuously acquiring many linear center projection images, where objective ground surfaces are partially overlapped, in a scanning direction with a line scanner mounted on an artificial satellite at different positions in the flying direction of the satellite. Then the image data are converted into left and right two-dimensional affine image data respectively. Thereafter, a three-dimensional model space is formed by setting the parameter of the two-dimensional affine conversion between the left and right two-dimensional affine image data and the three-dimensional coordinates of the objective ground surface under such a condition that the two-dimensional affine conversion is satisfied on all overlapping portions of the left and right two-dimensional affine image data. |
