The automobile seating arrangement has 3 successive rows of seats (11,12,13), with the seats (14) of both rear rows able to be folded down, for increasing the size of the rear luggage space. The seat backs (16) of the seats in the middle seat row (12) are folded down over the seat squabs (15) and the seat backs of the seats in the rear seat row (13) are folded down after pivoting the seat squab forwards through 180 degrees, for providing a continuous flat load platform by bridging the gap between the middle seat row and the rear seat row.
