PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a top cover having a spine cover by generating a cover image consisting of a top cover part, a back cover part, and a spine cover as a top cover and a back cover of a document size set according to the data regarding a top cover image. SOLUTION: When a spine cover mode is selected with a mode setting key 114, a display 115 moves to a document size setting screen and when the size of a top cover is inputted among candidates for the document size, the display 115 moves to a form feed stage select screen, so that a form feed stage is specified. When spine cover width is set, the display 115 moves to a spine cover width input screen and the width of a spine cover is specified with a '+' and a '-' key. The display 115 moves to a top cover document read-in screen. When the top cover is placed on a document platen and a read-in key is pressed, a CPU sets a write start address start value in a register of a write address counter in an address counter and specific form output is set thereafter. |
