PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of wires, and to increase the reliability and the safety of a device such as an electronic photograph type printer. SOLUTION: Double-throw type door switches 13, 14 linking with individual exterior covers on a device body are connected serially, and normally-open terminals of the door switches are interposed between a load such as a motor 23 and a +24 V drive power supply. Normally-closed terminals of the individual door switches 18, 14 are connected to a +5 V control power supply. A CPU 18 in a control part 19 monitors voltage values of the normally-closed terminals of the individual door switches 13, 14 to detect an open/closed state of the door switches 13, 14, thereby controlling a power supply to the load, resulting in eliminating switches for detecting an open/closed state of the exterior covers and reducing the number of wires. |
