PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavating device capable of automating an excavating operation and excavating soil and sand with high efficiency. SOLUTION: An excavating device comprises a carriage for turning 4 capable of being turned along a guide rail 2 fixed to a caisson 1 near a cutting edge part 1a and along the periphery of the caisson 1, a linear guide 5 fixed to the carriage for turning 4 and inclined roughly in parallel with a caisson cutting edge part 2a, a sand pump 7 vertically movable along the linear guide 5 and having a suction port 7a facing to the lower side, and an excavating tool 10 located at the tip of the sand pump 7 and installed rotatably to a motor shaft as the rotating shaft of a sand pump main body through a speed reduction mechanism.
