PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that a rear bumper is automatically moved to a stored position during loading and unloading of containers and actuation for dumping. SOLUTION: A rear bumper 32 can be moved between a projecting position and a stored position by a hydraulic cylinder 32d. Operations associated with loading and unloading to and from a container-carrying vehicle or actuation for dumping, e.g. the operation of connecting the engine of the container-carrying vehicle to a power takeoff device which takes out loading/unloading power or the power needed for the actuation for dumping from the engine, is detected by a detecting means 46. The hydraulic cylinder 32d is driven by a control means 45 according to the result of detection by the detecting means 46 to control the rear bumper 32 so that it automatically moves from the projecting position to the stored position.
