The invention concerns medicine, in particular heartbeat analysis, measuring and registration.The aim of the invention is to extract a specific rhythm from a sequence of long RR interval values (rhythmograms) consisting of sinusoidal and ectopic rhythms and technical noise.Long term sequences of RR interval values are received with electro-cardio-signals during measuring distances between adjacent QRS complex R teeth. The method presented displays RR interval value pairs as a set of points on a diagram in a rectangular coordinating system where RR1 and RR1+1 values are marked according to the axes. The points corresponding to the sinusoidal and ectopic rhythm RR interval value pairs are positioned in specific zones on the diagram.
