PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly replace transmission sequence of video sources in a way that a program search operation time of each video source can be ensured in the case of adding, deleting a video source and rearranging the sequence of the video sources. SOLUTION: This nonlinear recording and reproducing device 18 has transmission lines V1, V2, and the sub transmission sequence of video resources is respectively set to the transmission lines V1, V2 in response to the main transmission sequence of the video sources. In this case, optical video sources X, Y adjacent to each other are assigned to the sub transmission sequence of the different transmission lines in the main transmission sequence due to the revision of the main transmission sequence.
