PURPOSE: A color CRT electron gun is provided to reduce a spherical aberration by varying electron lens synchronously to voltage applied to a cathode. CONSTITUTION: An electron gun comprises first to third cathodes(KR,KG,KB), control and screen electrodes(11,12) sequentially arranged from the cathodes(KR,KG,KB), first to fourth focus electrodes(13,14,15,16) arranged from the screen electrode(12), and a final accelerating electrode(17) arranged adjacent to the fourth focus electrode(16). The second focus electrode(14) is composed of three independent electrode members(14R,14G,14B) corresponding to the first to third cathodes(KR,KG,KB), respectively. The electrode members(14R,14G,14B) are made of a cylindrical tube. The electrode members can have any configuration that provides through-holes for electron beams. The electrodes are applied with a certain amount of electric voltage, respectively.
