PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an emulsion type adhesion composition which exerts a well-balanced adhesive performance and an excellent water blush resistance. SOLUTION: This adhesive composition essentially comprises an emulsion having an average particle size of from 0.1 to 0.5μm, which is obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing (a) 50 wt.% or more long-chain alkyl (meth)acrylate wherein the carbon number of the alkyl group is from 9 to 13 and (b) from 0.1 to 5 wt.%α,β-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid or dicarboxylic acid in the presence of a radical polymerizable emulsifier and a polymerization initiator. A transparent film tape is obtained by applying the adhesive composition onto a transparent film to form an adhesive layer having a thickness of 20μm. The water blush haze value determined after soaking the transparent film tape in water for 24 hr and bringing the adhesive into direct contact with water, is 35% or smaller. An adhesive product is prepared by applying this emulsion type adhesive composition onto a base material and drying it.
