PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PFM video voice switching system for reducing deterioration or fluctuation of transmission characteristics, and for providing a more inexpensive circuit. SOLUTION: In this PFM video/voice switching system, a transmitting device 20 at an information offering source side is connected through an optical fiber A with a switching center 10, and the switching center 10 is connected through an optical fiber B with a receiving device 30 at an information receiver side. In the switching center 10, an optical PFM signal received from the transmitting device 20 is converted into an electric signal by an O/E switching part 11 while the signal configuration is maintained, and inputted to a pulsed FM signal switch 12. Then, the electric signal switched to the prescribed destination of transmission by the pulsed FM switch 12 is converted into the optical PFM signal again by an E/O converting part 13, and transferred to the receiving device at the information receiver side with the optical fiber B as a transmitting medium. |
