PURPOSE: A thin type projection television system using keystone is provided so that an image can be displayed without a distortion and a thickness of a system can be reduced by removing keystone. CONSTITUTION: A thin type projection television system using keystone includes several devices. A light source(31) generates light and then irradiates it toward a LCD panel(32). The LCD panel(32) controls and displays the amount of incidence of light according to the image signal. A first and a second optical systems(33,35) magnifies and projects with the image of incidence from the LCD panel(32), thereby imaging it to a rear screen(37), so that the televiewer can watch the image. In this case, a field lens(34) arranged between the first and the second optical systems(33,35) changes the path of light passed by the first optical system(33) into the second optical system(35). A reflective mirror(36) reflects the light passed by the second optical system(35) toward the rear screen(37).
