<p>A peptide (Y-2 fraction) obtained by treating fish meat (sardine, etc.) with an alkaline protease, adsorbing the thus obtained peptides by a peptide-adsorbable resin (ODS resin, etc.) and then eluting it with a 10% aqueous solution of ethanol. Because of having an excellent blood pressure-lowering effect, this novel peptide is usable as a nutritional supplement and a specified health food. Moreover, it can be advantageously employed as a hypotensive drug.</p> |
