PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reduction of the throughput of a whole system by using the free route of an auxiliary device, transferring data to the auxiliary device and transferring data to a regular device when a read request from a host device is given or when the regular device does not execute the input/ output request of the host device. SOLUTION: Regular and auxiliary duplex disk sub-systems are installed in a disk controller having a cache memory 102. Information of data transferred to the auxiliary device is stored when a regular device is in the middle of input/output and a writing processing cannot be executed at the time of transferring data to the regular device and the auxiliary device from a host device. When the host device requests reading, same data is written into the regular device while data is read from the auxiliary device.
