PURPOSE: A system for transmission of voice and image data via the internet and a method for the same are provided to convert analog voice and image data to digital voice and image data in order to edit it without a personal computer, and then enable the edited data to be recorded in various storage devices or to be transmitted to a web site via the internet. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen(30) enables the selection of each mode in a multi-purpose terminal(10) for an edit, a record and a transmission of the voice and image data. A main controller(20) controls the multi-purpose terminal(10) in response to the operation of the touch screen(30). A money recognition part(40) recognizes an inserted coin and paper money, and reports the amount of the inserted money to the main controller(20). A printer(50) issues a receipt for payment. The multi-purpose terminal(10) converts the external analog voice and image data to digital one, and then records it in the storage device or transmits it to a web site(70). A TCP/IP(60) connects the multi-purpose terminal(10) to the web site(70) so that the digital voice and image data can be transmitted to the web site(70).
