A herbicidal combination comprising N<1>-acylaminophenylsulfonyl-N<2>-heteroaryl-urea derivatives and known selective or non-selective herbicides has synergistic activity. A herbicidal combination comprises: (A) N<1>-(2-aminocarbonyl-5-acylamino-phenylsulfonyl)-N<2>-(pyrimidinyl or triazinyl)-urea derivative(s) (I) or their salts: and (B) herbicide(s) which are active: (a) selectively in cereals and some dicot crops against monocot and dicot weeds via foliage and soil; (b) selectively in cereals and some dicot crops against predominantly dicot weeds; or (c) against monocot and dicot weeds when used non-selectively or in specific tolerant crops. R<1>, R<2> = H or 1-4C alkyl; R<3> = H, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, 2-4C alkenyloxy, 2-4C alkynyloxy or 3-8C cycloalkyl optionally substituted BY one or more halo, CN, 1-4C alkoxy or 1-C alkylsulfonyl; X, Y = halo or 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy or 1-4C alkylthio optionally substituted BY one or more halo, 1-4C alkoxy or 1-4C alkylthio; only one of X and Y can be halo; Z = CH or N.
