There is disclosed an insertable liner retaining extrusion for adapting a pre-assembled above-ground pool to receive a new liner. The extrusion comprises at an upper end thereof a barbed-shaped insertion means adapted for easy insertion between the pool's U-shaped channel and liner retainer. At a lower end thereof, the extrusion has liner bead receiving means for receiving a liner bead.
