PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always produce a sound for an end part of a sound production unit waveform even when a next key is pressed while the first sound production unit waveform has not been read out to its end. SOLUTION: This device reads out a phrase comprising multiple sound production unit waveforms stored in a memory 2 to generate a music sound. When a start of a sound production is instructed by a keyboard 4, if a sound production unit waveform is not being read out, a control part 8 reads out one sound production unit waveform of a phrase stored in a memory 2. When a start of a sound production is instructed by the keyboard 4, if a sound production unit waveform is being read out, the control part reads out a next sound production unit waveform after it finishes reading out the sound production unit waveform which is currently being read out. |
