PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding polishing member in which width is wide, an abrasion force is large, life is long, grinding and polishing can be carried out uniformly with high accuracy, heat-releasing property is good and manufacture is easy. SOLUTION: The polishing member is provided with a cylindrical core material 15; and a polishing impeller 16 in which a predetermined number of approximately strip-like abrasion clothes 17 are aligned and arranged in a circumferentially falling state on a whole periphery of an outer periphery or an inner periphery of a core material 15 while they are overlapped at a portion and a long side is arranged in parallel to an axis direction of the core material 15 and in which a base end portion 17a of the respective abrasion clothes 17 is adhered onto the core material 15 and a free end portion 17b is exposed.
