PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry-type metallized film capacitor, which uses a metallized film and is high in safety, small in size, and light in weight without using a metal case and insulating oil. SOLUTION: This film capacitor is composed of a capacitor element 1 which is formed in a manner, where a pair of metallized films are made to overlap with each other and rolled up into a roll, metal is flame-sprayed on the end faces of the roll for the formation of a capacitor element 1, a capacitor element 6 which is formed in a manner where the edge faces of the rolled capacitor elements 1 are connected in series with an outside lead-out terminal 5 for the formation of the element 6, and an insulating resin 9 which covers the edge faces and sides of the elements in a recessed manner.
