A system of mechanical connectors (120, 122) interlock individual modules together into a reactor system. Fluid connectors (14) join their passages, sealing them off from the surroundings. Preferred features: Connectors are male-female or genderless. They engage each other. The system has (external) clamps to connect the modules. The connectors have hooked or dovetailed sections, engaging with play. This permits relative movement of modules transversely with respect to the connecting channel axes, with spacing between them. Clamping sections close up the play, placed in openings in the connectors. These are cylindrical pegs, conical screws, conical wedges, split-casings, screws, snap fastenings and/or eccentric devices. The clamping sections comprise grooves in the modules. Modules are connected by profiles inserted in opposite grooves. Groves are T-shaped, the profiles double-T shaped. Connectors are further detailed. One or more micro-reactor modules are connected with a plate carrying fluids.
