PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable self-alignment, to smoothly execute movement, to be excellent in resistance to eccentric load and to improve the accuracy of working even in the case of acting the eccentric load on the slide by arranging an intermediate liner whose one side is in spherical contact and the other side in plane contact between a fixed gib and sliding gib. SOLUTION: A slide guiding device is composed of four fixed gibs 10 which serve for rails which are fixed inside the frame 2 of a press, eight sliding gibs 11 which are respectively fixed in four corners of an upper slide 8 (lower side 9) and the intermediate liners 12 which are situated between the slide 8 (9) and the fixed gibs 10. The intermediate liners 12 are brought into spherical contact with the sliding gibs 11 and bearing function is kept by supplying a lubricant and shaped so that the center of rotation is always in the middle of the plane contact surface. Because the lower slide 9 with a die and upper slide 8 are separated, screw rotating force which is generated on the upper slide 8 is not directly transmitted to the lower slide 9.
