PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying device by which flat plates of a small size blanked to a large quantity are separated to the respective flat plates and are surely washed. SOLUTION: This washing and drying device has a feeding port 16 which is disposed in the upper part and into which a plurality of works are fed, a first trough 12a for washing which has a low inclination at the front end with respect to horizontal, receives the fed works and passes the works and a washing liquid for washing the works, a second trough 12b for washing which has the structure similar to the structure of the first trough 12a for washing and receives the works and washing liquid falling from the first trough 12a for washing, and a drying device which receives the works and washing liquid from the first trough 12e for washing in the lowermost part, separates the works and the washing liquid and dries the same. Further, the base surfaces of the troughs for washing have rough surfaces and the central parts thereof are provided with plural baffle plates for causing the meandering of the flow of the works.
