PEARLESCENT FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pearlescent fabric delicately changing in color depending upon difference in a watching angle and having improved coloring effect by using a specific multifilament yarn and a yarn having no light interference and in a noncolorable state together so as to form a woven fabric and a knitted fabric. SOLUTION: A multifilament yarn which comprises a light interference monofilament as a constituent unit composed of an alternate laminate of two or more polymers having different refractive indexes and a flat cross section with 4-15 flatness ratio and a yarn having no light interference and in a noncolorable state such as a transparent state, a white state are used together and woven or knitted. Preferably, the floating ratio of the light interference multifilament yarn in a floating texture part is 60-95%.
