PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a water-soluble royal jelly composition by readily removing insoluble ingredients from ingredients of royal jelly under mild conditions and to provide a method for producing the composition. SOLUTION: Raw royal jelly is diluted with water in an amount of 5-20 times and a peptide derived from a protein in an amount of 0.01-1 pt.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. of the raw royal jelly is mixed with the diluted raw royal jelly. The resultant mixture is sufficiently stirred and then allowed to stand at room temperature for 30 min to 3 h or heated to naturally precipitate insoluble ingredients. The supernatant is subsequently taken out or treated with a separator to remove the insoluble ingredients to take out a clear liquid. |
