<p>The invention relates to an electrophoresis chip and a device for operating such a chip. With known electrophoresis chips integration of the electrodes is virtually impossible owing to the relatively large number of reservoirs to be filled and contacted. The aim of the invention is to provide an electrophoresis chip (1) which has sample application zones which can be positioned in the grid of titration plates but do not present the above disadvantages. To this end exactly one sample application area (7a, 7b, ...) is integrated into the beginning of each separation channel, formed by an expanded area of said separation channel (3a, 3b, ...) and via an intermediate channel (8a, 8b, ...) connected to a cathode (5a, 5b, ...). This configuration permits the integration of the electrodes (5a, 5b, ..., 6) in the form of electrode channels (20a, 20b, ..., 21) and the parallel application of samples.</p> |
