摘要 PURPOSE: A channel allocation method and bandwidth allocation method are provided to enhance a bus characteristic by allocating a channel and a bandwidth according to a channel margin and bandwidth margin. CONSTITUTION: The number of channels to be allocated by a corresponding node is informed(30) to an isochronous source manager by using a lock transaction. The isochronous source manager determines(32) whether the number of channels is smaller than a present channel margin or not. If the number of channels is smaller than the present channel margin, the isochronous source manager performs(34) allocation process by the number of corresponding channels, and informs(34) the node of the allocated channel information. If the number of node's requested channels is larger than the present channel margin, the isochronous source manager does not allocate a channel, and informs(36) the node of the information of non-channel-allocation by means of the lock response. Thereby, a bus characteristic is enhanced by allocating a channel and a bandwidth according to a channel margin and bandwidth margin.
