PURPOSE: A low noise amplifier controlling method is provided to be capable of controlling an operating of a low noise amplifier automatically according to electric field strength of a selected channel. CONSTITUTION: In a low noise amplifier controlling method, when an automatic channel setting key is inputted, a microcomputer controls a tuner so as to select a channel, and judges whether a signal exists when a channel is tuned. If a signal exists, the microcomputer judges whether an AGC level is over a limited level of a weak electric field. The microcomputer turns on a flag to a low noise amplifier when over the limited level, and turns off the flag when below the limited level. The microcomputer judges whether a current channel is a final channel. If not, the microcomputer controls the tuner so as to select a next channel. If so, an automatic channel selecting operation is ended.
