WAVEGUIDE GRATING ROUTER

摘要

PURPOSE: An optical waveguide column lattice wavelength router is provided to be capable of realizing a high level all optical network by using an optical waveguide column lattice wavelength router having a flat frequency band characteristic. CONSTITUTION: An optical waveguide column lattice wavelength router includes an input waveguide(20) consisting of a curved area('A') and a transition area('B'). The first slap waveguide(22) constitutes a free space('C'). An optical waveguide column(24) has an optical waveguide(24a) consecutively formed at its center side. An exterior waveguide(24b) arranged at its both sides includes a transformed area('D') being noncontinuous. An output terminal of the optical waveguide column(24) is connected to an output waveguide(28) via the second slap waveguide(26).
