APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR WRITING IN FLASH MEMORY DEVICE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for writing in a flash memory is provided to perform a writing operation fast by simultaneously carrying out a program operation and an erase operation in different chips. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for writing in a flash memory device comprises a first buffer(20), an address converter(11) and a flash control unit(13). The first buffer receives data from a host(10) and temporarily stores the data. The address converter receives a host address from the host and converts the host address to a physical address. The flash control unit controls writing in a sector of the flash memory unit(14,15) corresponding to the physical address of the address converter and data of the buffer. The apparatus further comprises a plurality of buffers which program the data of the first buffer while temporarily stores the data transmitted from the host.
