PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the structure as an air cleaner extremely simple, to eliminate the need for the space to be exclusively used for this purpose, to obviate the generation of the noise accompanying air cleaning, to make the speaker maintenance-free and long in life and to allow the speaker to exhibit a desired air cleaning function. SOLUTION: The speaker 10 with the air cleaning function includes a diaphragm 11 as a vibrator which outputs acoustic signals, a photocatalyst thin film 21 which is formed on the surface of the diaphragm 11 and short- wavelength LEDs 23 which are disposed to face the photocatalyst thin film 21. When the diaphragm 11 vibrates, the photocatalyst thin film 21 vibrates in correspondence thereto and the convection of the air arises on the front surface side. Simultaneously therewith, the short-wavelength LEDs 23 irradiate the photocatalyst thin film 21 with UV light. Accordingly, the photocatalyst thin film 21 effects a photocatalyst reaction and exhibits the air cleaning function, such as deodorization and sterilization. |
