PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signature which can be mass-produced at a low cost by performing the printing using an offset rotary press or the like and an in-line folding process as well as a booklet using the signature. SOLUTION: One of the side ends of a printed web is folded by a first longitudinal folding line for dividing the width direction in almost three equal segments and is cut by a cutting line in the transverse direction. Further, the web is doubled by a transverse folding line so that a folded part turns inwardly, and is doubled by a second longitudinal folding line. Thus a signature 10 of the described structure is obtained. In addition, the signature is stitched at a position for the second longitudinal folding line and the three sides excepting the stitched part are decoratively cut at specified positions for decorative cutting lines 6a-6c to obtain the manufactured booklet.
