PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical disk which is capable of maintaining stable rotation and data reliability even at the high-speed rotation, and rotates via a hub carried in this central hole. SOLUTION: Material having a thermal conductivity of >=0.05 (cal/ deg.C.cm.s) is used for the hub and material having a thermal conductivity of >=10.3 to 10.6 (cal/ deg.C.cm.s) Izod strength of >=5 (kgf∼cm/cm) is used for a substrate. The substrate varies in the thickness of the substrate from each other in a portion corresponding to a recording region and a portion exclusive of the recording region. The relationship between the diameter Y of the hub and the diameter X of the substrate is set at Y/X>=0.28.
