SUPERCONDUCTING ELECTROMAGNET FOR CYCLOTRON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting electromagnet for cyclotron of a simple structure, in which magnetic poles and vessel are surely secured while withstanding the electromagnetic force acting on the superconducting coil. SOLUTION: A superconducting electromagnet for cyclotron is structured with a pair of electromagnet bodies are installed opposed with a certain gap reserved in between each equipped with a magnetic pole 1, a vessel 4 arranged surrounding the magnetic pole 1, and a superconducting coil 3 accommodated in the vessel 4, wherein accelerated charged particles pass through the gap, and at least one of the electromagnet bodies has a structure in which the peripheral side face of the magnetic pole 1 is fixed to the vessel 4 with bolt 6.
