PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for supplying oxygen to automobile engine are provided to achieve an improved fuel efficiency and reduce hazardous gas from an exhaust gas while supplying high quality oxygen to an intake manifold. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of supplying an oxygen obtained by allowing an air supplied to an engine of an automobile to pass through a zeolite filler layer, and supplying the nitrogen filtered out from the zeolite to an exhaust manifold. An apparatus comprises a main body including a zeolite filter(10) for allowing only an oxygen to pass through and filtering out nitrogen, a filler case(20), a pressure discharge valve arranged at an entrance of the filler, and a pressure sensor(40), a compressor(110) mounted for supplying air into the main body, and a pipe for supplying the oxygen filtered in the main body to an intake manifold.
